About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Access Marketing, Strategy, & US HEOR for the Americas, this role will lead the development and implementation of Access strategy and tactical initiatives for the assigned Chiesi Rare Disease portfolio. The Lead will collaborate closely with brand marketing teams and cross-functional partners to ensure life-changing treatments remain accessible to patients. This role supports a growing product portfolio and offers long-term growth within a highly experienced market access team.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of market access strategy, tactics, and marketing materials as the market access lead for assigned brands.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Finance, Sales, Data/Analytics, and Global Market Access.
- Support the development of US HEOR/RWE strategy across assigned disease areas within the Chiesi Rare Disease Portfolio.
- Monitor spend and manage assigned payer marketing budget for brands.
- Serve as a resource on US Market Access strategies, tactics, and situation assessments for cross-functional partners.
- Lead engagement with creative agency partner(s) and facilitate Promotional Review Board (PRB) review of marketing materials.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure brand access messages and environment are communicated to all customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry across functions such as marketing, market access, contracting, commercial operations, and data analytics.
- At least 5 years of direct experience within market access or brand marketing.
- Good understanding of payer segments (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Part D & B, etc.), reimbursement, and Specialty Pharmacy data.
- Direct experience supporting Medical Benefit (Buy/Bill).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing data and delivering clear Market Access insights.
- Strong analytical (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed, confident, and able to contribute to shared goals with high standards of performance.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in project management.
- Understanding of the current US payer environment and Market Access dynamics.
- History of success in developing market access tactics for US payers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a Promotional Review Committee (Legal/Medical/Regulatory) and VeevaVault or similar.
- Experience within Rare Disease.
Schedule
Hybrid position based in the Boston, MA office.
Pay
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $184,140 to $225,060. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also receive overtime pay for qualifying hours. Base pay may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
