About the Role
As our Lead Patient Transporter, you will safely transport patients to assigned areas while maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and respect according to HIPAA regulations. You will perform all transport tasks in a safe manner, adhering to Infection Control policies and procedures, and using proper tools, body mechanics, and lifting techniques. You will ensure regulatory compliance, including JCAHO regulations, and pursue opportunities for improvement while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in assignments. Priorities may shift based on hospital needs as determined by Department Leadership, Nursing Supervisors, and Bed Control.
You will collaborate as part of a team with Patient Transport and Environmental Services leadership, fostering partnerships and resolving conflicts proactively to ensure efficient department operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a patient transporter in a healthcare facility is preferred.
- College degree is preferred.
