Lead Patient Safety Observer

Position Summary

Essential Functions

• Provides leadership, mentoring, and serves as a resource to the Virtual Safety Observer (VSO) Team.
• Facilitate and coordinate staffing during shift to include all breaks.
• Determine patient assignments based on acuity and skill mix and adjust as needed throughout the shift.
• Receive VSO notifications confirming completion of the audiovisual check for initiation of Continuous Virtual Monitoring (CVM) and notification of CVM discontinuation by the Registered Nurse.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assume VSO responsibilities during periods of need.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of six months as a VSO is preferred.
• Technical proficiency of computer software applications is required.
• An extreme attention to detail is necessary.
