Lead Patient Driver - PACE

About the role

Providence PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) helps older adults remain healthy, active, and living independently in their communities through comprehensive healthcare services, home visits, transportation, and social support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure participants arrive safely and comfortably to the PACE Center, medical appointments, and other approved destinations.
• Play a key role in supporting daily transportation operations by coordinating routes and schedules, assisting with vehicle readiness and compliance, completing required documentation, and serving as a resource for drivers during your assigned shift.
• Create a positive, respectful, and welcoming experience for participants while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to communicate important observations regarding participant well-being and safety.

Requirements

• Coursework/Training: First Aid training (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Coursework/Training: Defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 60 days of hire.
• Experience providing passenger transportation and/or supporting transportation operations (4 years preferred).
• Comfort with basic computer applications for documentation and communication.

Qualifications

• California Class B driver’s license per California Highway Patrol regulations and proof of insurance per company policy may be required upon hire.

Skills

Excellent driving skills combined with a passion for customer service, teamwork, and caring for older adults.

Pay

The base pay range is $25.00 - $37.85 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Full time, Day shift.
