Lead Patient Care Tech-EMT

Job Summary

As a Lead Patient Care Tech-EMT with St. Mark's Hospital, you'll play a crucial role in the nursing team, providing compassionate care that positively impacts patients' lives daily. You'll assist with ADLs, support mobility and comfort, check vital signs, collect specimens, prepare for procedures, monitor telemetry, train new team members, and share updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Six (6) months experience Required Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Supporting mobility and comfort
• Checking vital signs
• Collecting specimens
• Preparing for procedures
• Monitoring telemetry as needed
• Documenting patient care accurately
• Communicating important updates to the nursing team
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices
• Setting up and caring for equipment
• Ensuring needed supplies are ready
• Responding to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication
