Lead Patient Care Tech

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Patient Care Technician for our ambulatory surgery center. Key responsibilities include assisting the ASC leadership team, supervising other PCTs, patient preparation, mobility assistance, operating room turnover, sterile processing, inventory management, answering phones, and computer data entry.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree Preferred
• Military Healthcare experience, EMT or CNA Preferred
• Supervisory experience in healthcare Preferred
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment

What You Will Do

• Assists center leadership with selection, development & basic supervision of current PCTs within the center
• Assists with patient preparation for surgery and other procedures
• Assists with mobility by regularly turning and positioning patients utilizing proper body mechanics
• Affords transfer, transport & discharge of patients as directed
• Affords overturning your operating rooms between cases
• Performs terminal cleaning of your surgical area
• Maintains sufficient supply levels, cleanliness and orderliness of all your equipment and supplies
• Answers phones
• Affords assistance with computer data entry
