Responsibilities

The Lead Reimbursement Specialist Analyst provides excellent support to department employees by answering questions, providing necessary coaching, and performing quality assurance audits. This role is responsible for analyzing reimbursement trends and identifying underpayments, facilitating reconsiderations, and appeals with payers. This role coordinates and oversees the complete process of underpayment reconsiderations, including correction of insurance plan errors, payment transfers, and account adjustments.

Education Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years Reimbursement Analyst experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of acute care medical insurance billing relating to patient reimbursement.
  • Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system.
