Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake: Produce a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, tarts, and pastries, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Recipe execution: Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of all baked items.
- Ingredient management: Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment.
- Quality control: Inspect and ensure the quality of ingredients and finished products, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Cleanliness and hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate the preparation of items for special events, banquets, and daily service.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
- Strong baking and pastry skills, with knowledge of various baking techniques and ingredients.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in execution.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
