Lead Pastor
About the role
HPCC is seeking a lead pastor who can shepherd in younger families and youth. The church has a current weekly attendance of approximately 45 at the Sunday morning service. The largest portion of the church body is elderly.
Responsibilities
- Provide Godly, humble leadership
- Plead the Word of God with fluent knowledge of the Bible
- Facilitate discipleship and spiritual growth
- Manage adult and youth ministries
- Encourage and promote open, thorough communication
- Support church members through visitation and crisis intervention
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Brethren in Christ pastoral credential
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of scripture, belief in the Bible as the authoritative Word of God, and the ability to preach the truth of the Gospel as it relates to current daily lives. They should also possess proven management skills and be able to relate to people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic status.
Qualifications
The church values its BIC heritage and traditions, but not above its love for God and faith in Jesus Christ. The lead pastor should be humble and energetic, with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities and guide the team in ministering to both the church family and the local community.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple responsibilities, and a passion for outreach and community engagement are essential.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The lead pastor will work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the church and the community, including regular weekend services and occasional evenings and weekdays.
