Lead Parts Counterperson

About the role

As a Lead Parts Counterperson, you will build sales by developing dealer and distributor programs, processing orders, and directing customer fleet service repair into our service centers.

Responsibilities

• Work with counter personnel to update the service department on backordered parts list twice a week.
• Train new parts personnel on procedures and navigating our system.
• Collaborate with the service department to ensure procedures are followed and department processes are efficient.
• Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Review and understand the metrics needed to achieve Monthly/Yearly goals in the parts and service department.
• Inform customers of companion part requirements, specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information in a timely manner.
• Review body shop estimates to confirm ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six-plus months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexible schedule — must be available to work some Saturdays.
• Computer proficiency.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Valid driver’s license.
