Soules Foods is a family-owned company with nearly 50 years of experience producing ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook chicken and beef products, including the nation’s top-selling fajitas. Based in Tyler, Texas, we serve major retailers and food-service distributors across the U.S. and operate three manufacturing facilities in Gainesville, GA; Valley, AL; and Tyler, TX.

About the role

The Production Line Lead is the first-line supervisor of production line workers, responsible for daily job assignments, training, and placement of team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees abide by safety regulations and maintain a clean line free of debris.
• Monitor line setup and assign tasks to Line Workers.
• Train Line Workers on product procedures in collaboration with the New Hire Trainer.
• Request additional components from Material Handlers as needed.
• Verify ingredient and label specifications.
• Instruct Material Handlers to move completed product.
• Confirm product weight and piece count meet specifications.
• Escalate production issues to the Supervisor.
• Perform quality checks on the line.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This role operates on the production floor in a cold environment (average 40°F) with moderate noise, moving machinery, and wet/dry areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times. The position involves interaction with employees, contractors, and supervisors in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for extended periods (8+ hours per shift).
• Regular use of hands, fingers, arms, and reaching.
• Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Close, distance, and adjustable visual focus.
• Repetitive movements, bending, twisting, and climbing.

Schedule

Typical working hours are 4:15 PM until the end of the shift, including a 30-minute lunch break.
