The Boeing PAC-3 program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead or Senior Responsible Engineer (RE) for the Power Assembly (PA) Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Huntsville, Alabama. As the RE for the PA IPT, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the successful design and manufacturing of the PAC-3 PA to meet the performance, reliability, and safety requirements of the Power Assembly subsystem and circuit card assemblies within the PAC-3 RF Seeker.
About the Role
The RE will be the technical authority over the development, design, production, and test of the assigned PAC-3 Seeker PA. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) program is an air-defense missile system designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft where Boeing is the original engineering manufacturer of the seeker. Boeing produces seekers every day as well as developing a new design of the seeker. The seekers provide active data to the PAC-3 missile which enables it to acquire, intercept and destroy threats using hit-to-kill technology.
Responsibilities
- Establish a culture of proactive technical oversight, risk management, and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issues.
- Lead requirement, function, and interface development for the PAC-3 PA subsystem of the seeker.
- Oversee the design of products provided in support of development, production, and sustainment changes.
- Present data for the product at Design Reviews, product Acceptance and Qualification Reviews, and Delivery Reviews as required.
- Guide technical path for product definition and execution.
- Drive IPT to a position of System Integration for PAC-3 – drive coordination between IPT and Program technical staff.
- Accountable to IPT Lead, IAMD CE, and respective Program CEs.
- Serve as technical authority over the development, design, production, and test of the assigned PAC-3 Seeker or Seeker Subsystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- Proven experience (5+ years) leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team in development or production environments.
- Experience with executing engineering in support of program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc).
- Engineering experience on development and production programs.
- Experience supporting or managing engineering release processes.
- Experience mentoring early career engineers.
- Fundamental knowledge in power distribution systems, complex airborne power systems, power amplification systems, and/or Seeker/Radar system power architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity with technical proposal development.
- Familiarity with test equipment design and validation.
Experience
- Lead: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
- Senior: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required.

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Lead (Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
- Senior (Level 5): $164,900 - $223,100
