Lead On-site HVAC Technician

Job Summary

New England Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Lead Operations/Maintenance Technician for a large, sophisticated customer in the Marlborough, MA area. This position is on-site, first shift Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinating preventive maintenance on all equipment, including and not limited to heating and ventilating, pumps, fans, sterilizers, cage washers, boilers, chillers and refrigeration equipment.
• Keep trade licenses and certifications current.
• Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the clean air act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments.
• Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.
• Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.
• Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
• Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.
• EPA 608 Universal required.
• Commercial HVAC systems experience and knowledge.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• BMS or Automation experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways.
• The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.

Geographic Disclosure

Salary range $40.85-$50.00 per hour plus benefits. Overtime is available.
