We are looking for a Full-Time Lead Nurse to add to our team at the PRTF!

A Day in The Life as a Lead Nurse

  • Leads a team of health care professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical wellbeing of our children/adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs.
  • Ensures all assessments are completed.
  • Ensures medication management orders are fulfilled.
  • Educates children and families about the care they are receiving.
  • Covers all needs of a 24/7 residential facility by coordinating and completing health appointments, and appointments with in-house medication providers.
  • Ensures all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.

What We Are Looking for

  • A compassionate, eager to continue learning, individual who wants to help families build on their strengths, and help connect them with community resources they may need.
  • A person willing to take a trauma-informed approach as they collaborate with clients, families, and other team members.
  • A registered nurse licensed in the state of Kansas.
  • An in-office position.
  • A flexible schedule determined in collaboration with facility administration.
  • Supervision experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
  • A valid driver's license and meeting agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.
  • Eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
