Job Description

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists the Clinical Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Nuclear medicine department, is responsible for accreditation maintenance, as well as performing a variety of complex imaging and non-imaging tests on patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric, which require professional judgment and interaction with patients, physicians, and other allied health care professionals. He/she is able to work independently although technical supervision assistance is always available.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, Positron Imaging, radiation safety and the ability to evaluate the results along with the ability to determine the need for concomitant or additional studies is required.
  • Experience Registered Nurse with five years clinical experience
  • Certification & Licensures: ARRT (N), ARRT(R), or NMTCB certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required
  • and/or successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology training program
  • New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
