About the role

We are seeking a strong Node.js Backend Lead with 10+ years of backend development experience. Must be proficient in Node.js, AWS, and Python. Candidates should be local to Texas or willing to attend an in-person interview with an onsite coding test in Coppell, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance, scalable Node.js backend systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Implement and maintain robust error handling and logging mechanisms
  • Optimize server performance and database queries
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the technology stack and best practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years of backend development experience
  • Proficiency in Node.js, AWS, and Python
  • Experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Local to Texas or willing to travel to Coppell, TX for in-person interviews and coding tests
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
