Lead Neuro Interventional Tech

About the role

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Lead Neuro Interventional Technologist to join our highly specialized Neuro IR Team and play a key role in supporting advanced, life-saving procedures in one of the region's premier academic medical centers. This full-time leadership opportunity combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, helping guide daily operations, mentor and train staff, support quality initiatives, and serve as a trusted resource for the team.

Schedule

• Four 10-hour daylight shifts per week
• One call night per week
• Every 4th weekend call rotation
• Rotating holiday call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership support and assume supervisory responsibilities in the supervisor's absence
• Coordinate daily workflow, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficient department operations
• Serve as a subject matter expert in advanced imaging technology, software applications, and procedural techniques
• Support quality assurance initiatives and collaborate on the development and optimization of exam protocols
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members while helping to shape the future of the department
• Lead orientation, training, competency completion, and ongoing education for technologists, students, and medical personnel
• Perform all responsibilities of an Advanced IR Tech II while serving as a clinical and operational leader for the team

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum of 3 years IR experience required
• Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion

Qualifications

• ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist
• Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent
• CPR or BLS Required — CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
• ARRT Certificate
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
