Lead MRI Technologist- Gulf Coast Medical Center
Job Summary
Lead and coordinate daily MRI operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a seamless patient experience. Serve as a trusted resource and mentor to MRI team members, supporting a culture of collaboration and excellence. Develop staffing and on-call schedules to meet department needs while supporting work-life balance. Perform MRI procedures using advanced technology to produce accurate, diagnostic-quality images. Apply expertise in MRI anatomy and pathophysiology to support clinical decision-making alongside radiologists. Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care at every interaction. Contribute to a positive environment for patients, physicians, and team members. Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive innovation within the department. Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new team members and students. Perform venipuncture and support medication processes as needed. Participate in on-call rotation to support patient care needs.
Qualifications
- Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted. Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent MRI experience. Ideal candidate would have 3-5 yrs experience.
- Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs.
- BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required
- MRSO certification through American Board of Magnet Resonance (Magnetic Resident Safety Officer)
- ARRT Registered or eligible required.

Pay and Schedule
- Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $31.90 - $41.48 / hour
