About the Role

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Lead MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patient MRI Imaging
  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains a positive attitude and positive working relationships with radiologists, and referring customers and other team members and peers
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
  • Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
  • Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines

Team Member Supervision

  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members

  • Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
  • Supports team members to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Completes other tasks as assigned
  • Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
  • Five (5) years' MRI imaging experience
  • One (1) year experience mentoring and servicing as a resource, including identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certified in multiple modalities
  • Experience working across multiple modalities
  • Bilingual
