About the role

RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Lead MRI Technologist, you will lead and manage assigned MRI technologists, operate an MRI scanner to produce diagnostic images, and ensure services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service. You will remain self-motivated to increase your understanding and knowledge of the modality field, diseases, and new procedures as they evolve. This is a full-time position working day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Patient MRI Imaging (70%)
    • Screen patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
    • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout.
    • Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders precisely.
    • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and team members.
    • Keep work areas clean and sanitized, promoting safety for patients and team members.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect after each use.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • MRI Department Support (10%)
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist in training new team members, providing resource and technical expertise.
  • Team Member Supervision (15%)
    • Support and enhance the team by acting as a resource for new and long-term team members.
    • Assist in the hiring process for new team members.
    • Coordinate training and onboarding of new team members.
    • Schedule and lead regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings.
    • Monitor and approve timecards.
    • Initiate and participate in performance reviews, development, and performance management.
    • Develop team member schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
    • Evaluate workflow and implement process improvements.
    • Ensure team knowledge of company and department policies.
    • Support team members to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned, including leading special projects and/or committees.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing (depending on State regulations and business need).
  • Five (5) years of MRI imaging experience.
  • One (1) year of experience mentoring and serving as a resource, including identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising and/or leading/mentoring others.
  • Certification in multiple modalities.
  • Experience working across multiple modalities.
  • Bilingual.

Pay

$32.86 - $62.73 per hour, based on direct and relevant experience.

Schedule

Full-time, day shifts.
