Description Restoration 1 New Jersey – Medford, NJ Ready to Lead a Crew, Run Jobs, and Take Ownership? Restoration 1 New Jersey is looking for an experienced, motivated Lead Mitigation Technician / Crew Chief to join our growing team at our Medford, New Jersey location. This is not an entry-level technician position. We are looking for a go-getter who takes ownership, knows how to lead from the front, and can help manage the day-to-day field operations of our Medford location. The right person will serve as a Lead Technician and Crew Chief, while also helping oversee our warehouse, equipment, vehicles, inventory, and field crews. What You'll Be Doing As our Lead Mitigation Technician / Crew Chief, you will: Lead water, fire, mold, and other property damage mitigation projectsDirect and supervise technicians and field crewsSet up jobs properly and make sure crews follow the work planPerform water extraction, demolition, containment, drying, cleaning, and other mitigation servicesSet up, monitor, document, and remove drying equipmentTake moisture readings and document job conditionsCommunicate job progress and issues to Project Managers and Operations ManagementHelp train and develop techniciansMaintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsiteMake sure company equipment is properly used, cleaned, maintained, and returnedAssist with managing the Medford warehouseHelp maintain warehouse organization and inventoryTrack mitigation equipment and make sure equipment is job-readyHelp maintain company vehicles, tools, supplies, and emergency response equipmentAssist with loading and preparing vehicles for upcoming projectsIdentify equipment or supply needs before they become a problemParticipate in emergency and after-hours response when requiredRepresent Restoration 1 professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance professionals, and other customers Requirements We're Looking for a Leader We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be constantly told what to do. You Should Be Someone Who Takes ownership of projectsShows up prepared and on timeCan lead and motivate a crewKeeps equipment and work areas organizedPays attention to detailsCommunicates well with customers and managementCan handle multiple jobs and changing prioritiesUnderstands the urgency of the restoration industryIs willing to jump in and work alongside the crewTakes pride in completing jobs correctlyWants an opportunity to grow into greater responsibility Preferred Experience Previous water mitigation / restoration experience requiredPrior Crew Chief, Lead Technician, or similar leadership experience strongly preferredExperience supervising restoration technicians or field crewsKnowledge of water damage restoration proceduresExperience with air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers, moisture meters, extraction equipment, containment, and demolitionIICRC certifications are highly preferredWRT certification preferredASD, AMRT, FSRT or additional restoration certifications are a plusExperience maintaining restoration equipment and warehouse inventory is a plusValid driver's license and good driving record required Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to: Lift and carry restoration equipment and materialsWork in residential and commercial propertiesWork in basements, crawlspaces, attics, and other jobsite conditionsWear appropriate PPE when requiredWork safely around demolition and restoration equipmentWork occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency assignments when needed Why Restoration 1 New Jersey?
