About the role
At Grafton Integrated Health Network, you'll lead with heart and grit, supporting individuals in overcoming barriers to live meaningful, fulfilling lives. You'll manage Mental Health Technicians to ensure they provide quality services, fostering growth and stability.
Responsibilities
- Ensures medications are delivered accurately and on time.
- Supports client health and hygiene, and follows infection control procedures.
- Reports serious incidents, participates in reviews, and implements follow-up measures.
- Knows the SNAP, goals, and treatment strategies from clients' plans.
- Promotes clients' achievement of behavioral goals by implementing strategies and teaching alternative behaviors.
- Collects and documents behavioral and instructional data accurately and reliably.
- Maintains a high level of engagement with and monitoring of clients.
- Implements planned activities throughout the workday.
- Builds trusting, respectful relationships with clients and helps them do the same.
- Manages behavioral crises safely.
- Collaborates with the Treatment Team to provide continuity of support and care.
- Exhibits exemplary customer service with guardians, agency personnel, and visitors.
- Safeguards a safe residence/classroom environment.
- Affirms good nutrition and assists with meal preparation in group homes.
- Provides transportation/community mobility.
- Aids with purchases and is accountable for program and client money.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Education: High School Diploma and six months of direct care experience with children and/or adolescents, or Associates degree and three months of direct care experience, or Bachelors degree in Human Service field.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrates moderate computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of professional experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- One year of professional experience working with children in a residential program for children with special needs.
- Six months experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Six months experience working in a residential program at Grafton.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Direct care experience with children and/or adolescents.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Moderate computer skills.
