About the role
Apply advanced engineering and scientific expertise to architect, design, and develop innovative technologies and solutions in a Research and Development environment. Drive R&D initiatives, integrate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs. Develop and implement scalable, robust systems that support organizational goals and serve as a subject-matter expert during the CI/CD cycle in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive IoT automation within an Over-The-Air (OTA) test environment.
- Design and implement automated testing workflows and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of residential gateways (RGs) and Wi-Fi extenders across multiple products and software releases.
- Ensure devices function seamlessly within AT&T’s broadband network ecosystem.
- Identify performance issues early to guarantee product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze Wi-Fi performance data to determine compliance with expected standards and implement optimizations.
- Document issues found during testing, including supporting data and analysis, to ensure proper tracking and resolution.
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving across teams to resolve bugs and maintain product quality.
- Provide technical support to internal teams by analyzing device logs to identify root causes of issues.
- Develop ad hoc test cases to address new challenges and ensure agility in problem-solving.
- Utilize programming languages (Java, Python) and mobile app automation frameworks (Appium, BDD, Cucumber) to develop and execute test cases efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology.
- 4 years of experience in a role analyzing Wi-Fi performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring product compliance with industry benchmarks.
- 4 years of experience executing and developing testing strategies for Wi-Fi devices, including residential gateways and extenders.
- 4 years of experience conducting precise testing, performance analysis, and debugging of networking systems.
- Experience developing test cases, automating workflows, and supporting IoT device integration using Java and Python.
- Experience testing mobile apps related to Wi-Fi devices using Appium, XCUITest, and UIAutomator2.
- Proficiency in IP networking concepts to troubleshoot communication issues and analyze logs for root-cause identification.
