About the role

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers providing compassionate, patient-centered care since 1954. Services include 24-hour emergency care and most major medical, surgical, and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Leading all aspects of operation in assigned section/team/department, including record preparation and maintenance, report analysis, policy and procedure development, testing methodology evaluation, staff training, technical oversight, and compliance.
• Collaborating with team members to coordinate tasks, priorities, goals, and achievements with management.
• Aiding in test validations, regulatory compliance, quality control/assurance, and maintenance within assigned area.
• Performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, or a life/biological science preferred.
• 3 years of hospital experience required.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists), or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) required.
• State of Georgia Department of Community Health, Healthcare Facility, Clinical Laboratory regulations must be met.

Pay

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus Available

Schedule

Monday-Thursday 12:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.
