About the role

The Lead Mechanical Engineer - Structures position at Exowatt is responsible for designing and overseeing the structural integrity of our advanced energy storage systems. This role requires a deep understanding of materials science, structural analysis, and engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and development of structural components for Exowatt’s energy storage solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure structural designs meet safety and performance standards.
• Conduct structural analyses using FEA software to optimize designs and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on structural design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
• Experience with material selection and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
