Responsibilities
- Advanced Computer Aid Design (CAD)
- Advanced drawing interpretation, ASME Y14 series
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Lead Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design phases
- Lead Designer for Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR)
- Design for Manufacturing and cost estimation
- Identify client Critical To Quality (CTQ) Milestone compliance
- Collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Engineering master’s degree is a plus
- 10+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
- US Person
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experienced Designing Fixtures to support Testing Phase
- Experienced in Layout Design for Test Facilities
- Familiar with Fabrication processes, welding, machining, grinding, assembly, etc.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently takes initiative to get things done
- Strong technical, analytical, organizational, problem solving and people skills
- Strong organizational skills are needed to help keep track of multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient technical report writing and presentation skills
