What You'll Do
- Aid daily operations of material flow, including receiving, issuing, organizing materials to support production schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvements.
- Train and develop team members, implementing training plans and managing cross-training and staff rotations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S protocols and ensuring proper PPE usage.
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
What You'll Bring
- Current Tesla Production Control experience preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team effectively
- Experience with technology, including laptops, scanners, Microsoft Office-based systems, and other data entry tools preferred
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a track record of meeting goals and completing tasks
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and creating a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, and flatbed carts, Forklift certification preferred
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted timeframes
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment
- Exposures to hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, full-face respirators, gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
