Lead Massage Therapist | Full Time

Overview

The Massage Lead in the Spa Department at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa serves as the supervisory support for all spa therapists, overseeing training for new team members on massage and body treatments, managing professional product inventory and purchase orders, and creating therapist schedules based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapists' schedules and input into spa software system
• Conduct daily reviews of the Kronos system punches
• Prepare professional product purchase orders
• Coach and counsel therapists
• Develop and schedule training for new therapists
• Assist in other areas of the spa
• Assist team leaders and managers
• Cleanliness of Spa
• Know the telephone functions
• Handle problem calls and complaints
• AM and PM checklists
• Completion of all closing procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 500 hours massage training
• State of Florida license required and at least two years of service
• At least one year experience in upscale operation of four or five diamond/star resort
• Ability to remain calm and organized in busy environment
• High school level reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and able to print legibly
• Physically able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• CPR certification required
