Overview

AT&T's Marketing & Growth Organization delivers cutting-edge advertising that elevates AT&T's historic brand and puts the customer at the forefront of everything we do. The Research, Analytics and Insights team is looking for an experienced marketing professional to join our Advertising and Messaging group to support decision making through strong research programs. This market research and analysis role will gather data and conduct research to assess the impact of marketing in the retail space to support the evolution of AT&T's marketing and digital strategies. In addition to this, this role will be responsible for partnering with our B2B marketing and creative teams to provide measurement and evaluation of Business-focused marketing efforts. The analyst should have diverse experience with research programs, data analysis, and be able to collaborate with other team members to curate and develop story-driven insights to inform the business.

Key research programs

  • Retail Tracking – an ongoing program measuring the impact of in-store signage and device partnerships to improve the overall impact of retail assets
  • Custom Retail Research – custom studies that deep dive into the impact of retail marketing executions, such as shop-alongs, pre-post quantitative, or virtual store testing
  • B2B Advertising Measurement – message testing and copy testing targeting our B2B audiences, primarily in service of improving creative strength

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of the Retail Tracking program, ensuring robust methodologies, timely execution, and actionable insights
  • Design, manage, and deploy custom research with speed and precision in partnership with trusted vendors
  • Possess expert knowledge within the marketing research field (both qualitative and quantitative approaches, sampling, and data analysis) and the ability to integrate critical information from many diverse areas
  • Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and synthesis, leveraging a wide range of best-in-class market research and advanced analytics techniques
  • Translate raw data into meaningful insights, crafting compelling narratives that drive business impact. Prepare presentation materials with clear reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to support findings. Present findings to stakeholders in a persuasive, passionate, and articulate manner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure research efforts are aligned with business needs
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous research programs with support from outside research firms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data, insights, and form recommendations related to marketing and shopper experience tactics

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in designing and executing primary market research (quantitative and qualitative): 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Market Research professional
  • Experience assessing methodological options and recommending Market Research approaches that answer key business questions in a cost-effective manner
  • A critical thinker with experience crafting easy to follow, "voice of the customer" centric stories for business stakeholders that enable them to drive actions and decisioning
  • BS/BA required or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience working for a 3rd Party Primary Research Provider
  • Prior experience running shopper B2B research programs preferred

  • The ability to multitask and deliver multiple simultaneous projects on time with high quality
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator and partner to internal stakeholder to drive alignment and influence decision making and action plans
  • The ability to synthesize large amounts of data and extract critical insights and implications
  • Able to clearly communicate key insights (verbally and in writing) and speak/act with confidence
  • A multi-dimensional thinker who operates not only based on past experiences but stays abreast of approaches and developments occurring in the marketing research fields

Pay

Our Lead Market Research & Analysis earn between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Schedule

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. Work locations: Dallas, TX or El Segundo, CA or Atlanta, GA. No relocation is offered. Weekly Hours: 40. Time Type: Regular.
