Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for machine start-ups
  • Be the responder to all machine, robot, TCU and secondary equipment alarms
  • Ensure machines and robots are running at optimum efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machine, mold and material problems
  • Report to Production engineer any difficulties or problems requiring special attention
  • Accurately complete paperwork
  • Responsible for all die change activities
  • Maintain the appearance of all TCU’s, Robot Control Stations
  • Ensure proper care of all equipment especially the managing and proper disposal of all purgings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (ideas and suggestions)
  • Follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines
  • Make required machine and equipment control adjustments to maintain proper quality and cycle efficiency
  • Support the development of Process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)

Experience

Preferably 3-5 years of experience in the injection molding process and tooling (including tooling qualifications and troubleshooting), or equivalent.

Work Environment

The employee will work in close quarters and may occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, loud machine and vibration. The employee may regularly work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
