Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
- Utilize advanced expertise to implement techniques and equipment of simple to moderate complexity within the production process, focusing on maximizing operational efficiency.
- Design systems that increase productivity by optimizing the integration of people, materials, systems, equipment, and finance, leveraging specialized knowledge in manufacturing engineering.
- Recommend or may implement changes to work methods, materials, machinery, manpower allocation, and safety measures for projects of simple to moderate complexity.
- Oversee the development of work standards, schedules, procedures, and performance standards for work applications to improve efficiency and cost reductions, ensuring alignment with company-approved standards.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to execute projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product launches, providing expert input and guidance.
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity, utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance quality, offering expert analysis and recommendations.
- Perform high-quality analysis consistently, utilizing advanced analytical skills to drive informed decision-making.
- Champion innovative ideas and apply them effectively to enhance business results, leveraging deep expertise in manufacturing engineering.
- Monitor and/or lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned, utilizing specialized knowledge and experience to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements, providing expert input and guidance to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 6 - 8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.

Other Pertinent Job Information
- Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advise and direction to junior team members.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
- Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.
- The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
