About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer located onsite at our Fibrebond manufacturing campus in Minden, LA. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Drive facility capability and capacity improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other processes to support efficiency improvement and sales growth.
  • Support and execute capital plans to support capability, capacity, and efficiency to develop new key plant processes in support of sales growth and product line expansion.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and requirements, estimating future requirements.
  • Work directly with direct production to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring, and testing of products manufactured.
  • Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives utilizing continuous improvement framework.
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety responsibilities by following established EHS policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, corrective action implementation.
  • Manage the creation of standard work and standard cycle times.

Qualifications

  • Basic (required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of relevant engineering experience, working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution. One year of experience creating Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans. One year of experience with Lean | Six Sigma projects and implementation.
