Responsibilities
- Configure and optimize production lines for manufacturing of Maybell’s dilution refrigerators
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians in performing hands on assembly and fabrication of complex equipment
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes
- Implement manufacturing quality and organizational systems
- Lead continuous improvement efforts
- Develop work instructions and production documentation
- Design manufacturing jigs and equipment to improve production quality and throughput
- Collaborate with engineering to improve system design and DFM
- Build and manage aggressive production schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or equivalent field
- 8+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 3+ years of work experience leading a manufacturing line
- 3+ years of management experience
- Self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity with ability to drive results independently and through team members
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional hands-on assembly and fabrication skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Strong CAD & mechanical design skills
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong safety-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Experience in any of the following areas: vacuum systems, leak checking, thermal systems, brazing, welding, valves, pumps, pneumatics
- Experience in managing quality systems
- Machine shop and fabrication skills
