About the role

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of the Director of Imaging and the Radiology Medical Director. This role involves operating imaging equipment, evaluating image quality, and ensuring accurate reporting that reflects patient status while adhering to safety protocols, maintaining quality control, and complying with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammography imaging equipment and evaluate image quality
  • Assist radiologists and coordinate departmental activities
  • Manage supplies and participate in quality assurance programs
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and practice sterile techniques
  • Ensure radiation safety and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Train staff, schedule procedures, and maintain equipment
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a multi-modality department
  • Perform independent work with strong organizational and follow-up skills

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification
  • Mammography Certification
  • California state registration

Physical demands

  • Frequent bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to blood and body fluids in a Category 3 environment
