About the role

The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Completes patient education regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort for the patient.
  • Follows infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Performs diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered.
  • Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Produces high quality films for the radiologist to evaluate and completes appropriate documentation.
  • Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
  • Assists in compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
  • Evaluates and critiques images prior to radiologist interpretation.
  • Serves as technical leader on daily tasks and cases. Models/mentors and trains staff on technical skills.
  • Recommends and coordinates scheduling of work assignments, daily priorities and directing the work of staff.
  • Provides input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: RequiredBachelor's Degree: PreferredFive years' technical experience: PreferredTwo years' leadership experience: Preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications: Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in ORAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R): RequiredAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Mammography (ARRT-M): Required in OR, Preferred in CA and HIBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $40.63 to $60.89. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
