Job Summary

Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology. Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently. Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech). Ensures proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified. Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance. Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance and assists the supervisor in the implementation and documentation of all policies and procedures mandated by the FDA through MQSA. Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) at workstation. Completes verification process in PACS. Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties such as film and report filing and answering the telephone when appropriate. Completes and maintains educational requirements. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(ARRT-R)
  • Radiography Vocational School Graduate
