About the role

The Lead Maintenance Technician oversees the maintenance and janitorial needs of the building, acting as a leader and role model for the team. Key responsibilities include performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, responding to work orders, assisting in safety trainings, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and responds to work orders, including following up with residents and management as needed.
  • Aids in safety trainings and inspections.
  • Performs plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs, and follows up with management on projects and inspection requirements, meeting deadlines as necessary.
  • Operates and installs equipment in accordance with local, state, and national codes.
  • Inspects work of others for quality, completion, safety, and compliance with contracts as directed.
  • Maintains and tests safety equipment and appliances for proper operation.
  • Ensures adherence to OSHA regulations regarding worker safety and health.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in maintenance and a minimum of 5 years of multi-family apartment maintenance experience, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order completion, and TCAC inspections.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills, fluency in English, and knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Schedule
