Lead Maintenance Technician

Key Essential Functions/Duties

• Aid Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Manager with training and mentoring of maintenance technicians.
• Train employees on equipment related to their assigned area.
• Make daily shift reports including BUM on daily maintenance issues during shift.
• Prioritize work based on Planner/Schedule, including projects.
• Follow escalation process to include root cause and countermeasures.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Collaborate with leaders to prioritize repairs and maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with machinery, tools, and building systems.
• Perform timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant safety codes.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
