Lead Accountabilities

  • Generates, reviews audits and organizes maintenance work orders, checklists and other associated paperwork.
  • Maintains and evaluates equipment and spare parts inventories.
  • Recommends equipment and process changes based on experience, historical data, and thorough testing.
  • Captures and trains new maintenance personnel, monitors and evaluates employee performance, and recommends employee recognition and discipline actions.
  • Maintains and enforces plant safety policies, participates in management meetings, and improvement teams.
  • Performs more complex plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance on plant process equipment, HVAC units, boilers, thermal oil heaters, air compressors, cooling towers, buildings, and offices.
  • Provides recommendations for facility compressed air/gas supply and control systems, including calibration and repair of mass flow meters, temperature and pressure transmitters, actuated valves, control wiring, PLC troubleshooting, and programming, and pig launcher and receiver maintenance.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains piping systems and pipe supports for steam supply, condensate return, process and cooling water, industrial production, and processing systems.
  • Maintains boilers and prepares them for inspections, completes and documents daily boiler and cooling water testing, and makes recommendations for equipment and process improvements.
  • Applies statistical methods for preventative/predictive maintenance of off-site equipment.
  • Assists plant production operations, maintains building exterior, interior, and grounds, coordinates outside maintenance services and contractors, and oversees their work.
  • Orders and stocks parts and tools, maintains a clean, safe, and usable maintenance work area, and is responsible for all installation and operating permits and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously performs more complex plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assists with plant production operations as needed.
  • Maintains building exterior, interior, and grounds.
  • Coordinates outside maintenance services and contractors and oversees their work.
  • Orders and stocks parts and tools and maintains a clean, safe, and usable maintenance work area.
  • Maintains and oversees the cleanliness and usability of all installation and operating permits and equipment manuals.
