About the Role
Northland is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise the maintenance team and manage work orders and repairs at the community. The position requires prioritizing and scheduling projects, ensuring timely completion, and handling various maintenance tasks such as HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping. Responsibilities also include turning vacant apartments for move-in, maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service, and being available for after-hours emergencies and on-call duties.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, residents, and vendors.
Owns necessary hand tools for job functions; other power tools are provided.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call responsibility.
May require travel to assist other properties or attend training classes.
Prior experience managing a team is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
Able to climb, bend, and squat.
Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.
