Lead Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Lead Maintenance Technician supervises the maintenance team and oversees work orders and repairs at the Community at Woodmen Ridge. Responsibilities include prioritizing and scheduling projects, completing maintenance service requests and work orders, turning vacant apartments for move-in, and handling after-hours emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule projects and staff for timely completion of projects
• Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items
• Turn vacant apartments for move-in in a timely and efficient manner
• Work safely and keep an eye on budget
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism and customer service to residents, vendors, and guests
• Handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call, as needed, including nights and weekends

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors
• Own hand tools to carry out job functions, other power tools will be provided
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call responsibility
• Travel may be required to assist other properties or attend training classes
• Prior experience managing a team is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
• Able to climb, bend, and squat
• Able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds
• Able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions
• May be required to operate a golf cart on the property
