Lead Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Property Manager • Location: Plano, TX • 140-unit residential apartment community

About the role

A great opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Technician to preserve the good condition and functionality of our property. You will perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including painting, HVAC installations, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, schedule, and inspect work performed by the maintenance staff
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and manage inventory
• Obtain bids on special projects
• Work with the property manager to maintain the supply budget
• Perform general maintenance in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs
• Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
• Appliance repair and troubleshooting
• Conduct general upkeep procedures
• On-call responsibilities as assigned by the property manager

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience as a maintenance technician
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength
• HVAC Certification #TXIND

Pay

$25.00 per hour (subject to adjustment for onsite living)
