Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain all equipment in the Central Utility plant.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate preventive maintenance with outside contracts.
• Notify the Department Director of equipment issues and assist in planning equipment replacements and budgets.
• Conduct routine systems inspections and ensure each shift completes rounding and ongoing maintenance duties.
• Assist with the intake, assignment, and delegation of corrective and periodic work orders related to various systems throughout the Health Center properties.
• Provide continuous training and updates to boiler operators.
• Audit vendors' work to ensure jobs are completed in accordance with hospital quality standards.
• Coordinate Plant Ops staffing schedules with the Lead Plant Operator (General Trades) to ensure adequate staffing is always maintained.
• Support overall department activities by coordinating tasks and manpower assignments to maximize productivity and efficient operations.

Requirements

• High School Graduate (required).
• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred).
