Lead Maintenance Tech
About the Role
This position contributes to the hotel’s commitment to high quality guest satisfaction and teamwork by safely and efficiently maintaining the property, including preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment. The employee may direct the work of other maintenance staff, delegating tasks and instructing them in methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in a variety of building and mechanical trades. This is an ideal role for someone looking to grow into a future Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on hotel property and equipment.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
- Direct and delegate tasks to other maintenance staff, providing instruction on methods, tools, and safety practices.
- Provide high-level customer service and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Maintain composure under pressure, pay attention to detail, and adapt to new technology (e.g., "Alice").
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of general building maintenance or equivalent trade experience; vocational school certification preferred.
- Solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
- General carpentry skills and knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Certified Pool Operator (if property has a pool or water park).
- Ability to safely and correctly use power tools and equipment, with knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to teach others and share knowledge effectively.
Physical Demands

Pay
$24.00 per hour.
