Responsibilities
- Develops and monitors schedules for strategic short and long-term plans; arranges priorities, distinguishing urgent, important and unimportant in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Consults and collaborates with appropriate departments to provide the best operational performance.
- Present project outcomes and deliverables effectively in oral and written form to the Supervisor of Maintenance Planning and Manager of Maintenance Planning.
- Identify, develop, create, and enhance working relationships with IOC departments.
- Identify and develop procedural operational improvements.
- Support, assist and troubleshoot work of MTX Planners.
- Performs complex professional planning activities involving advanced planning and special projects and performs related work as assigned in absence of Supervisor of Maintenance Planning.
- Maintains daily scheduled maintenance requirements ensuring all are complied within accordance with the applicable maintenance program.
- Forecasts maintenance inspections and parts to create an equalized schedule while meeting all OEM and FAA requirements.
- Conduct nightly scheduling and workload adjustments to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance with maintenance requirements.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work requirements based on the availability of manpower and equipment to ensure minimum aircraft down time and maintain a balanced workload.
- Adjust scheduled workloads based on part, material, tooling, and manpower during IROPs.
- Cook up with the IOC, ensuring efficient routing and ground time availability for aircraft in assigned maintenance bases to accomplish the scheduled maintenance requirements.
- Keeps the Supervisor of Maintenance Planning aware of the status of potential issues in the day-to-day operation.
- Ensure all specified policies, practices and procedures are complied with.
- Perform duties of all Aircraft Maintenance Planner roles/types as required.
- Lead the adjustment of scheduled workloads based on part, material, tooling, and manpower during IROPs.
- Support, assist and troubleshoot work of MTX Planners.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance/scheduling/routing and planning.
- Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with excel reporting to include VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Complex Formulas, Advanced formatting, comparing large amounts of data and referencing several data sets.
- Routing knowledge and previous experience working with Dispatch and MOC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
