Summary
The maintenance lead is responsible for the proper repair and servicing of the company's equipment, machines, tools and the likes.Essential Duties
- Change over and adjust machines as production schedule warrants
- Repair machines when needed
- Follow specific PM/ Machine Inspection duties
- Keep an organized and clean maintenance department
- Requisite machine parts and supplies
- Direct and supervise other maintenance personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Must have strong supervisory skills and ability to work with others from all different departments.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision at times
- Provide leadership for other maintenance staff
- Apply organizational policies and assures adherence to departmental procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience. Supervisor experience preferred.
- Vocational or related training in mechanical fields is preferred.
- Must have good knowledge of 3 Phase Electrical Power, Industrial Control Circuitry, and ability to read electrical schematics. Understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC's) and AC Inverters.
- Must have good knowledge of pneumatic operations and controls
- Must be able to trouble shoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems on equipment
- General knowledge of safe maintenance guidelines (lock out/ tag out, etc.)
- Experienced and proven welder (mig, tig and arc)
- Solid fabricating experience for miscellaneous parts, guards, racks, stands, etc
- Basic knowledge of a personal computer
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Vocational or related training in mechanical field preferred
- Experience in fast paced manufacturing plant preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is not required but is a plus.
Physical Demands
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, type walk, bend, kneel, lift or climb a ladder.
- The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 75 pounds.
