Lead Maintenance

About the role
The Maintenance Lead will lead the maintenance crew in day-to-day activities at the Dividing Creek, NJ location, including preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, emergency work orders, and maintenance shutdowns. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure daily maintenance activities are executed at a high level. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assign work, direct the maintenance crew, and respond to radio calls from operations as required.
Responsibilities
- Comply with applicable MSHA regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and procedures applying to safety and health management systems for the mine.
- Take reasonable and necessary actions to ensure no one is exposed to unacceptable levels of risk.
- Ensure work and activities under your control, supervision, or leadership do not expose anyone to unacceptable risk.
- Direct the Maintenance Crew in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, responding to work requests or calls from operations.
- Participate in and conform to the risk management practices of the operation.
- Comply with safety and health instructions given by the mine operator or supervisor.
- Adhere to site procedures and instructions provided by supervisors.
- Proactively manage equipment to meet availability and reliability targets.
- Assist in planning maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance role.
- Competency in welding and metal fabrication.
- Competency in industrial fluid power and pumping systems.
- Preference given to technical training in computer systems, conveyors, or similar.
- Preference given to competency in preventative maintenance strategies.
- Preference given to competency in mechanical drives and power transmission.
- Preference given to previous experience within mining operations.
