About the Role

Works closely with the Production Supervisor and team members to provide total line coordination of all supplies including packaging raw ingredients, dry ingredients, and finished goods. Operates with a sense of urgency to ensure the line meets production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example, demonstrating courtesy and training coworkers according to company standards.
• Serves as backup in the absence of the Production Supervisor.
• Keeps the Production Supervisor informed on employee concerns.
• Ensures proper daily line set-up with production team members.
• Proposes enhancements to continuously improve line performance.
• Assists with scheduling daily line staffing to meet company labor requirements.
• Holds team members accountable for line efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Reduces packaging and ingredient waste through proper training and tracking.
• Coordinates mixed ingredients to the proper lines and maintains full hoppers.
• Ensures packaging supplies are available to maintain 97% uptime.
• Works with production support and mentors to provide adequate training.
• Checks daily case packing paperwork for accuracy and correct case counts.
• Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices.
• Relays information on material shortages to affected departments.
• Assists the Production Supervisor with team meetings to coordinate production, quality, and safety goals.
• Fosters good employee relations to ensure company policies and procedures are met.
• Encourages maximum efficiency and productivity of production workers.
• Requests materials as necessary to maintain production standards.
• Performs other duties as required or directed.
• Maintains good attendance to be dependable and a role model for the team.
• Translates as needed or secures resources for employees requiring a translator.
• Leads by example through positive behavior, professionalism, and adherence to company values.
• Fosters a culture of respect, teamwork, accountability, and inclusion.
• Welcomes and supports new team members to create a positive onboarding experience.
• Maintains open communication with team members and promptly elevates concerns to the Production Supervisor or HR.

• Trains, coaches, and mentors employees to ensure understanding of job expectations and standards.
• Monitors employee understanding of safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Conducts routine observations to verify adherence to workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Champions a safety-first culture and immediately addresses unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Plays a key role in creating a positive, professional, and drama-free work environment by promoting respect, teamwork, accountability, and solution-focused communication.
• Demonstrates emotional maturity and professionalism by focusing on solutions rather than gossip, negativity, or workplace drama.
