Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
- Lead, train, and mentor line cooks and kitchen staff
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and complies with health and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen management to plan menus and specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas
- Assist in scheduling and performance evaluations of kitchen staff
Requirements
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
