Lead License Practical Nurse | Infusion Center | Day Shift | Full-time

About the role

The Lead Licensed Practical Nurse coordinates nursing staff within the practice and participates in patient care in a physician office setting.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs
• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for exams/procedures
• Assist the health care provider with exams and procedures
• Provide patient support during exams
• Maintain medical supply inventory and stock exam rooms
• Administer medications
• Process patient phone calls per practice protocols
• Instruct patients regarding health care and treatments
• Provide health care provider with information pertaining to patients' health status
• Coordinate the workload of the nursing staff
• Float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing

Requirements

• Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida
• One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred
• Initiative and ability to multitask
• Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving skills
• Previous staff coordination experience preferred
• Current AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required (or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment)
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire
